Billing Policy:

We are a bulk billing practice for most appointment types. Special procedures such as iron infusions and private health assessments will incur a gap fee.

Bulk Billing:

Bulk Billing available to all patients with a valid Medicare card.

Transferring Medical Records:

If you would like to have your medical records transferred to us from another medical centre, please speak to the receptionist staff and this can be organised for you. Please be aware that most medical centres charge a small fee to transfer medical records to cover the cost of printing and postage. If you would like to transfer your medical records from us to another practice, please speak to the reception staff and they can help you organise this.

Confidentiality:

Your medical record is a confidential document. It is the policy of this practice to maintain the security of personal health information at all times and ensure that this information is only available to authorised doctors and staff members.

Emails:

It is a Practice policy that no consultation will be conducted via email as we cannot guarantee confidentiality. If you need to speak with a GP/doctor please call the practice and schedule an appointment.

Please note that the practice email may be unattended and should not be used for clinical requests or emergencies. Please do not attempt to schedule appointments or request clinical information via email.We do not guarantee a response within any timeframe.  If you are a patient of this practice, do not use this email address for any matter that relates to your health needs.

Windsor Family Practice continuously looks for ways to improve our services to patients. If you have any concerns or suggestions for ways we could improve our services or facilities please contact our Practice Manager by phone or email.

  • At Windsor FP, we appreciate all forms of feedback to help us grow and improve our services. Please feel free to provide us with feedback via the suggestions box at reception, a Google Review, or via direct email to our practice management team. 

  • If you are unhappy or have a complaint regarding any aspect of your care, please discuss the matter with your GP/doctor or with our Practice Manager. You are also able to provide your concerns in writing at the practice. If you feel that you are unable to speak to us directly, you may also contact the Health Care Complaints Commission on 1800 043 159.

Telehealth Appointments 

The GPs at Windsor FP do provide telehealth consultations to existing patients. You must have had a face-to-face consult within the last 12 months in order to be eligible for a telehealth consultation. Please note that GPs may require patients to attend face to face consultations for certain clinical requests and appointment types.

FAQs

Do you accept walk-in Patients?

Walk-ins are available on a case by case basis, however we recommend booking an apppointment during busy times.

If you have an emergency, please call 000. For after-hour appointment please call 13SICK National Home Doctor

Do you offer home visits?

We do not offer home visits at Windsor Family Practice. However, after-hours home doctor services are available through 13SICK National Home Doctor. You can contact them on 13 74 25 for more information or to request a visit.

How do i cancel my appointment?

To cancel or reschedule your appointment, please call us on (02) 4577 4102 or use the HotDoc or confirmation link in your email to cancel online.

is there a cancellation fee?

We kindly ask that you provide at least 3 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Late cancellations (less than 3 hours’ notice) or failure to attend will incur a $25 cancellation fee. Repeated cancellations may result in a $50 fee. These fees must be paid before booking another appointment.

Cancellation fees for specialists and allied health providers (such as physiotherapists or podiatrists) may differ. Please check with reception or the provider directly for specific terms.
